Laser therapy is a quick non-invasive, non-painful, non-radiation treatment for pets who suffer from a variety of medical conditions. It works by using light waves known as photons to increase endorphin release which helps with pain relief. It also increases blood flow and helps with lymphatic drainage.
Some medical conditions that can be treated are:
- Ear problems
- Dental problems
- Degenerative disc disease
- Degenerative joint disease
- Hip dysplasia
- Anal gland problems
- Arthritis
- Pain
- Open wounds and post-surgical
- Lick granulomas and hot spots
Laser therapy can take as little as 5 minutes to complete. Owners typically start seeing results after three to five treatments. In the beginning treatments are frequent. For most conditions it is recommended that the patient is treated three times in the first week, two times a week for two additional weeks, and then once a month for maintenance.
