Traci Holder, VMD
I grew up in Southern Indiana, graduated from Indiana University with a degree in biology, and received my veterinary medical degree (VMD) from the University of Pennsylvania in 2001.
I began practicing small animal medicine after moving to Florida in 2001. I live with my husband, Ian, and my family includes two collies named Maverick and Jagger and a cat named Quinn. I call the South Shore area my home.
I had worked in the medical insurance claims field for almost 20 years when one particularly “bad” workday set off a chain reaction to a new job, new career, and new life. We opened Big Bend Animal Hospital in June of 2005, and I discovered a new world in South Shore. The area was growing, and we grew along with it. Our clientele is great. Most of our owners are very compliant and will do most anything for their fur babies.
I am also very proud of the people I work alongside with. They are very compassionate about what they do and truly treat our patients as if they were their own. Speaking of our own, I started working here with only one dog in the family, and am up to 5 dachshunds and 2 cats, who I love with all my heart.
